SOME REPORTERS ADMIT TO BEING WRONG ABOUT THE WARBaghdad (IP News)
As the 4th ID (previously delayed from entering the fray in Iraq due to Turkey's urgent desire to self destruct) finally began to deploy into the desert, some reporters admitted they were wrong about the war.
"We were ridiculing Rummy all along for trying to fight the tough-as-nails Iraqi foe "on the cheap" with as little cost in dollars and life as possible." said a spokesmushroom for the press. "Well, we were way off on this. The truth is they way overspent this thing. One whole division that wasn't needed at all? Please! Fire the SecDef right now Mr Bush, fire him right now!"
"I agree wholeheartedly with these reporters and very few other people on this planet" stated Nancy Pigliosi, a well known plastic surgery victim, "we could have probably brought down that statue for a lot less then $100 billion. But the most important question at this time, now that we're toward the end of it, is what is the cost to the war on terrorism?"
She and a majority of House Democrats last October voted against authorizing the president to use force to disarm Saddam's regime.
"It's the stupid economy..."
